Iford Hall Lewes wedding – Hannah and Alasdair

Hannah and Alasdair got married at Iford Hall, which is a village hall in Lewes with stunning grounds. It was such a fun wedding and the sun shone all day long!

The ceremony

The ceremony was a humanist service in a beautiful walled garden next to the hall. During the ceremony they had all the guests pass their rings around to warm them. It was such a personal service. with friends and family readings. Everyone was seated on hay bales in the shade under lovely old oak trees.

They decorated the area with homemade bunting, flowers and colourful confetti, which I loved. The reception was outside in the garden at Iford Hall – I love this venue because you can totally personalise it. Weddings at Iford Hall are amazing, because the surroundings are completely stunning and you have a great space to decorate.

Why Iford Hall is a great place to get married

Iford Hall is really peaceful and secluded village hall, nestled beneath the South Downs. It's one of the loveliest places to get married in Lewes. The venue offers an amazing atmosphere for a wedding – and there is a perfect field at sunset that’s great for photos.

The party

The couple had a homemade bar set up in the afternoon with an array of drinks and cocktails & they had a great coffee truck serving up iced coffees & cakes. For dinner they had the incredible Chilli Shaak who set up a delicious buffet followed by some amazing Sugardough cakes or pudding. They finished off the evening with a good old Ceilidh in the barn that has everyone up and dancing. So much fun!
